eConfirmations
The hotel then uses their Portal to securely access payment data for PMS entry and payment processing. There’s also an option to push booking details and payment data directly into the Reservation within Oracle Hospitality OPERA for payment processing.
You must have Sertifi eAuthorizations in order to enable eConfirmations on your portal. Super Admins can configure this integration.
You can enable multiple providers via your Integration settings in the portal, send notifications when new confirmation details are received, and streamline your processes.

eConfirmations Process
Without eConfirmations
Without eConfirmations, the process for booking at a hotel via travel partner or virtual card provider caused problems, not only with PCI compliance, but sometimes missing a reservation entirely.
- A travel agent books a room on behalf of a guest, sending both confirmation details and virtual card details through the GDS. The hotel can't receive card information from the GDS.
- The travel company sends a fax to the hotel with the virtual card information.
- The hotel can't accept the fax, due to security risks associated with paper forms.
- The hotel instead sends a digital authorization form back to the travel company. The travel company either doesn't know how to fill out the form, or is unable to handle the large quantity of forms they receive, so the information remains in limbo.
- The guest arrives to check-in at the hotel and the hotel doesn't have the virtual card or reservation details on file.
With eConfirmations
Now, with the introduction of eConfirmations, the process is automated and the guest confirmation details, along with payment details, can make it directly into the hotel's portal.
- A guest books a hotel room with a travel company. eConfirmations enables travel agencies to send both confirmation details and virtual card information directly to the hotel, bypassing the need to send the information through the GDS.
- The travel company finds out which hotels accept confirmation details and virtual cards by making an API call to the eConfirmations API.
- The travel company sends the reservation details and virtual card information to the hotel via Sertifi. The travel company receives the transaction ID from Sertifi verifying the details were received.
- The hotel retrieves the confirmation details and virtual card details in the Sertifi Portal. If the hotel is using Sertifi's Opera integration, the details automatically appear in Opera.
- The guest arrives to find all their information is on-file.
